Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA analysis of polymers) is another important technique that provides a measurement of mass loss as a function of temperature, and can determine parameters such as onset decomposition temperature, peak decomposition temperature, breakdown proportion of oils, polymer, carbon black, ash residue components.
Thermal Mechanical Analysis (TMA analysis of polymers) is an analysis technique which measures the dimensional changes of a sample as a function of time/temperature/force, crucial for determining the coefficient of linear thermal expansion (CTE) and glass transition temperatures.
